What the best thing you've found diving or the worst thing you've lost? I hear knives tend to get lost often, is anyone finding them out there?

A dollar bill. A couple of weeks ago at a pier clean up somebody found a gun that was all rusted out. The cops wanted to check it out for serial numbers but there was nothing left so the diver got to keep it as a souvenir

I've found a dive flag at the lake, my wife found a flashlight and the divers were glad when they surfaced! Other than that, I've been asked to dive down for glasses lost at the lake- got tipped $10 for finding a pair. And I found a dollar a few weeks back. Other than that, nothing I'd want to keep. We usually take a mesh bag down with us to clean up the lake during our dives. Some strange stuff down there- and how come people only lose one shoe? where does that other one end up?

OMG, I have always wondered why I always see that one shoe in the road
on the way back from the lake. It's because the other one is at
the bottom of the lake. Mystery solved. Whew.

I've found a mask, fins, swim goggles, railroad spike and some minor things here and there.

Coolest thing I found was a foundry spoon and a cannonball on a cleanup dive. Worst thing I found was an "adult' partly dressed was staged, partly inflated but rocks placed in the feet so it stood up on the bottom of the quarry. Thing is it was right becide a car that had ben stolen and dumped into the water. Yes when you come though the water and this scene comes into view you can yell through a reg.

I was diving at PK and found a brand new knife on the bottom... so I surfaced near where all the divers were sitting on a hill and shouted out, "Hey... did anyone lose a knife?"

One guy yelled back, "Yea I just did!"

So naturally I shouted, "Cool... do you want to sell the sheath?"
